warehouse, workforce systems

Nov 21, 2009 2:16 PM

OHL, a global third-party logistics company (3PL), has selected RedPrairie Corp’s Warehouse Management and Workforce Management systems.

Catherine Cooper, chief information officer of OHL, said, “Our continued growth requires technology that adapts to meet our customers’ changing needs. RedPrairie’s service-oriented architecture, experience working with large global companies, and customer-focused culture were key factors in our decision to add their warehouse and workforce solutions to OHL’s technology platform.”

OHL will leverage RedPrairie Workforce Management across its distribution network while RedPrairie Warehouse Management will be implemented in certain OHL campuses based on specific customer needs.

“Part of our success for the past 58 years has been our ability to drive continuous improvement for our customers,” said Bob Spieth, president of contract logistics for OHL. “Implementing Red Prairie in many of our campus operations will help OHL continue that success.”

OHL operates more than 120 distribution centers with in excess of 32 million square feet and has nearly 6,000 employees. RedPrairie has more than 20 global offices providing services to 40,000-plus sites in 50 nations.
