Costco's fiscal 4Q, year prove profitable

Costco Wholesale Corp's net sales for its fourth quarter ended Aug 28, 2005, increased 10% to $16.36 billion from $14.83 billion during the fourth quarter ended Aug 29, 2004.Net sales for fiscal 2005, the 52 weeks ended Aug 28, 2005, were $51.86 billion, a 10% gain from $47.15 billion during the 2004 fiscal year.
Net income for the 2005 fourth quarter rose to $354.7 million, compared with $296.8 million during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004. For fiscal 2005, net income climbed to $1.063 billion from $882.4 million during fiscal year 2004.
