Interstate Warehousing picks RedPrairie

Dec 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Interstate Warehousing has implemented RedPrairie Corp's DLx Warehouse and DLx Labor for improved productivity, inventory control, and enhanced customer service. The RedPrairie systems are running in three distribution centers in Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.

One of the top 10 public refrigerated warehouse companies in the United States, Interstate has more than 60 million cubic feet of refrigerated and frozen storage space. Since implementing the RedPrairie systems, Interstate has reduced order lead times and improved inventory control, which enables them to run at near full capacity. The real-time inventory control also allows them to store more goods.

RedPrairie supplies Interstate options including its eView inventory tracking tool that provides real-time access to inventory, orders, and activity 24 hours a day. Interstate also provides its Partnership Program, offering cost-effective consolidated replenishment shipments. Within the program, Interstate consolidates more than 4,000 products for more than 140 manufacturers, retailers, and wholesalers.
