Total Logistic Control (TLC), a provider of third-party logistics and dedicated manufacturing services, is continuing to expand its nationwide network through the purchase of the refrigerated and van operations of Birkmire Trucking Co in Erie PA.

Birkmire is a regional freight services provider with dry van and temperature-controlled operations. The acquisition includes 44 tractors and 101 trailers. A portion of the Birkmire staff has been retained and will be moving to TLC's existing terminal and office in Erie.

The Birkmire acquisition brings the TLC fleet to more than 400 tractors, with 700 dry and refrigerated trailers.

Besides its Erie location, TLC operates transportation terminals in Kalamazoo and Lansing MI, La Vergne TN, and Rochelle IL in support of its nationwide logistics network.
