USCS to construct
facility in Florida

United States Cold Storage intends to build a refrigerated warehouse and distribution center on 33 acres in Osceola County FL. Along with Nova Comm Inc, USCS purchased property in the county’s Poinciana Office & Industrial Park from Avatar Properties Inc. Construction will be developed in three phases starting later in 2007. Totaling 4.5 million cubic feet, the first phase is priced at $18 million.

In the next two phases, Puerto Rico-based Nova Comm, which makes and distributes automated security and access control units, will build a $3 million, 26,000-square-foot manufacturing and research and development site.
